Tamarac Advances, Raiders Fall

Tamarac and Mechanicville stepped on the floor in Averill Park Wednesday night in separate semifinal runs, one win away from the girls Class B title game.  In a perfect basketball world an all Wasaren final would play out Saturday afternoon at Hudson Valley Community College.

But life isn’t Hollywood and while Tamarac punched their ticket to the championship game with a convincing 55-40 victory over Schalmont, Mechanicville’s opponent Voorheesville had other ideas pinning a 54-37 defeat on the Raiders in game one.
