Thursday was semifinal night for the Class C boys at the Cool Insuring Arena with league schools in both halves of the doubleheader. Hoosick Falls and Saratoga Catholic came in looking to post “W’s” and setup an all Wasaren final on Saturday.
But the Warriors of Lake George weren’t buying in, as the number one Class C team in the state rolled to an 82-46 decision over Spa Catholic in the opening game of the evening.
In the nightcap Hoosick Falls took control early and held off a determined Maple Hill squad down the stretch, posting a 68-59 victory to advance to the Class C title game.

Key Points: The Warriors started the game on a 10-0 run and were never challenged in picking up the easy semifinal win, staying perfect on the year at 23-0. Saratoga Catholic completes a fine season finishing with an 18-4 mark.

Key Points: Hoosick Falls led 29-14 at the break, but the Hilltoppers used a 25-16 third period to close the gap, and trimmed the Panther lead to four with 6:33 left in the contest. But the Falls answered with Milliman scoring on an and-one and a pair of free throws as the Panthers regained control and closed things out, to earn a spot in Saturday’s championship run.
