The Cambridge girls track and field team earned a second place finish at the Schuylerville Classic on Friday night. The host Black Horses won the meet with 104 points followed by Cambridge with 88 points, pacing the 17 team event.
Greenwich (51 1/2), Mechanicville (47), and Saratoga Catholic (36) held down places 5-7.
Individual winners from Wasaren squads included Cambridge’s Miranda Seacord in the 100, Spa Catholic’s Grace O’Reilly 400, Greenwich’s Annabel Gregg 800, Cambridge’s Vanessa Evans 1 mile, Cambridge’s Ruth Nolan 400 hurdles, Mechanicville’s Jade Brown high jump, and Greenwich’s Danielle McFee discus.
The Mechanicville 800 meter relay team also earned a first place finish.
On the boys side of things South Glens Falls claimed the title with 100 points. Cambridge (44), Mechanicville (24), and Spa Catholic (15) finished 7th, 8th and 10th respectively. Greenwich with (7) and Berlin with 5 points rounded out the Wasaren teams.
Cambridge’s Jordan Brown earned a first place finish in the 400 meter hurdles for the Indians.
