Girls Basketball

One-sided contests were the theme in girls basketball on Tuesday night as every winning squad did so by a comfortable margin.

Tamarac 75  Berlin 6

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Emily Erickson 21         Syrita Faraj 20         Lizzie Macknick 10   Mountaineers – Kaley Culbertson 4

Key Stat:  With no mercy rule in basketball sometimes games like this happen.  Erickson bottoms five triples, the Bengals drill eight as a team and Tamarac rolls to the victory over the Mountaineers.

Hoosic Valley 41  Stillwater 23

Leading Scorers:  Indians – Alex Rifenburg 11         Warriors – Marley Mueller 7

Key Stat:  A blueprint game for the Valley as they hold Stillwater to nine total points through three periods of play while offensively putting nine players in the scoring column.

Hoosick Falls 49  Spa Catholic 16

Leading Scorers: Panthers – Logan Thayne 27       Lillian Hickey 11        Saints – K. Cronin 8

Key Stat:  The Panthers led 27-12 at the break and shutout the Saints in the third period to take total command on their way to the easy “W”.

  1. I don’t know where the names come from, but would just like to point out that it is KALEY Culbertson from Berlin. Jewel PIETRZAK graduated in 2017.
