Girls

Cambridge 61  Hoosic Valley 45

Leading Scorers:  Cambridge – Sophie Phillips 22        Lily Phillips 20             Valley – Alex Rifenburg 14        Renee Serafin 11

Key Stat:  Cambridge took control early running out to a 21-9 lead at the quarter, and extended their advantage to 40-16 at the break.  The Cambridge defense turned Hoosic Valley over time and again, which resulted in numerous transition buckets for the Indians.

 

Mechanicville 75  Greenwich 51

Leading Scorers:  Red Raiders –  Charli Goverski 18       AJ Joseph 14        Amy DiSiena 13       Taylor Grayson 12             Witches – Molly Trophy 18       Marquita Gutasy 10       Kylee Massee 10

Key Stat:  Greenwich held a 21-20 lead after one, but the Raiders outscored the Witches 40-21 over the next two frames to gain control and post the “W”.

 

Saratoga Catholic 41  Berlin 14

Leading Scorers:  Saints – Ashley Upson 13         Mountaineers – Ariana Henricks 4

Key Stat:  The Saints used a 28-6 second half to break open a close game and post the comfortable win over Berlin.

 

Mt. Anthony 47  Hoosick Falls 34

Leading Scorers:  Patriots – G. Maher 23         Panthers – Logan Thayne 18

Key Stat:  The Patriots defense held the Falls to just 18% shooting from the floor including a 3 of 27 night from behind the arc, as Mount Anthony earned the nonleague decision over the Panthers.

 

Boys

Mechanicville 60  Greenwich 59

Leading Scorers:  Red Raiders – Anthony Attala 19        Josh Germaine 15        Luciano D’Ambro 13         Witches – Carson Mosher 20       John Walsh 17

Key Stat:  Germaine bottomed a triple from the top with :04 remaining lifting the Raiders to the one point decision over Greenwich.  A wing three by Walsh with :17 left had given the Witches a two-point lead setting up Germain’s game-winner.

 

Hoosic Valley 46  Cambridge 38

Leading Scorers:  Valley – Isaac Carlo 11       Derek Eddy 11        Indians – Brian Hall 12

Key Stat:  Trailing 8-5 after the first period and 19-18 at the half, the Valley used a decisive 13-5 third period to gain the lead, paving the way to the victory over Cambridge.

 

Tamarac 53  Stillwater 43

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Frank Zotto 14        Bo Catherwood 12       Jacob DeFreest 11      Warriors – Brian McNeil 18       Josh Luca 13

Key Stat:  In a close game throughout Tamarac rode a 19-12 fourth quarter to the “W” over the Warriors.

 

Saratoga Catholic 59  Berlin 42

Leading Scorers:  Saints – Jordan Catone 12        Nick Condry 12       Mountaineers – Cody Hunt 12       Malachi Ritter 11

Key Stat:  The Saints built a 49-28 advantage over the first three periods and coasted to the easy win over Berlin.
