Boys

Hoosick Falls 70  Galway 59

Leading Scorers:  Falls – Jon Kempf 39      Tristan Williams 22       Galway – Carson Scribner 16     Thomas Villano 16

The Panthers built a 43-26 lead by halftime and went on to post the comfortable win over Galway in the Glens Falls Grandstanders Holiday Tournament.  Kempf connected on four 3-pointers and combined with Williams to outscore Galway 61-59.

 

Cambridge 46  Corinth 36

Leading Scorers:  Indians – Ben Epler 17     Brian Hall 16          Tomahawks – Dillon Dumas 11

In first round action in the Saratoga Catholic Christmas Tournament, Cambridge held the Tomahawks to single digits in each of the first three periods and led 33-20 heading to the final frame.  Hall and Epler combined for 33 points and six triples for the Indians who will meet Bishop Maginn tonight in the championship game.

Both teams put four players in doubles and while Spa Catholic held a 9-4 advantage in made threes, Maginn scored 37 two-point goals to fuel the victory  in the first round of the Spa Catholic Christmas Tournament.

 

Mechanicville 76  Cohoes 68

Leading Scorers:  Red Raiders – Josh Germaine 26      Anthony Attalla 19     Devin Garland 17         Tigers – Jon LaSure 14     Ivan Grajac 13     Royal Brown 12      Troy Snyder 11

The Raiders dialed up 13 makes from behind the arc and used a 45-21 advantage over the middle two periods to post the win on the second night of the Stillwater Tournament.

 

Stillwater 71  Ft. Edward 41

Leading Scorers:  Warriors – Brian McNeil 24      CJ McNeil 18         Ft. Edward – Brody Sullivan 21

The Warriors opened up a 40-22 lead at the break and cruised to the second round “W” in their holiday tourney.

 

Greenville 64  Tamarac 58

Leading Scorers:  Greenville – Damien Fiducia 21      Joe Nicosia 15     James Mitchell 12       Bengals – Zachary Rice 15     Dalton Maxon 13

The Bengals led 33-30 at the half but Greenville used a 16-9 third period to take the lead and held on for the victory.

 

Girls

Cambridge 65  Hanover (N.H.) 58

Leading Scorers:  Indians – Lily Phillips 23       Sophie Phillips 18      Hanover Maddie McCorkie 15      Willa Parkins 10

The Indians held a slim 40-36 lead at the break but used a 19-10 third to gain some breathing room on their way to the first round “W” in the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase.  The Phillips twins combined for 41 points and six made threes, and Cambridge converted on 14 of 18 from the free throw line in the victory.

Leading Scorers:  Falls – Maddy Walker 19      Logan Thayne 18     Sophie Estes 1o      Mohon – Breanna Lott 24      Megan Hart 17

The Panthers put three players in doubles and notched the close win over Mohon in a game that was tight throughout.

 

Fort Edward 38  Stillwater 28

Leading Scorers:  Ft. Edward – Thomas 11       Warriors – Marley Mueller 22

The Forts held Stillwater to single numbers in three of the four periods and outscored the Warriors 27-18 after the break to post the win in action at the Glens Falls Christmas Tournament.
