The Saints placed four players in doubles and used a 25-2 second period to take control, on their way to posting the victory in the consolation game of the Spa Catholic Christmas Tournament.

 

Greenwich 64  Johnstown 56

Leading Scorers:  Witches – Jesse Kuzmich 22      Adam Newell 15      Luke Pemrick 10   Alex Curtis 10           Sir Bills – Jay Hoyt 23          Keegan Feinaur 10       Abe Miller 10

The Witches used balanced scoring, four players in doubles, and a 32-19 advantage over the middle two quarters, to notch the win in the Fonda-Fultonville Holiday Classic.

 

Glens Falls 61  Hoosick Falls 52

Leading Scorers:  Glens Falls – Noah Girard 24        David Barclay 18           Panthers – Jon Kempf 23      Tristan Williams 13        Max Kipp 11

The Panthers held a 15-9 lead after the first period, but Glens Falls outscored their guests 39-21 over the next two frames to gain control and earn the win in the Glens Falls Grandstanders Holiday Tournament title game.

 

Hoosic Valley 63  Lee 50

Leading Scorers:  Indians – CJ Bassett 18      Logan Reilly 15      Tyler Eddy 11      Matt Rowe 10         Lee – Collin O’Brien 18

The Valley ran out to a 33-19 halftime advantage and rode that cushion to the “W” in first round action at the Maple Hill Holiday Tournament.  The Indians drilled nine 3-pointers and four players reached double figures in the win.

 

Tamarac 57  Cairo-Durham 26

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Zachary Rice 17           Cairo-Durham – Ethan Handel 13

The Bengals held Cairo-Durham to single numbers in three of the four periods in posting their first win of the season.

 

Girls

Hoosic Valley 53  Watervliet 32

Leading Scorers:  Indians – Sami Dickinson 23      Ashlyn Chartier 11      Emaleigh Peckham 9         Cannoneers – Morgan Tambolleo 13

The Valley held Watervliet to 19 points through three periods and posted the comfortable win over the Cannoneers.

 

Stillwater 51  Lake George 44

Leading Scorers:  Warriors – Marley Mueller 18       Molly Sheehan 15           LG – Ava Pushor 25      Mikayla Duffy 12

Trailing 14-2 after the first quarter, the Warriors outscored Lake George in each of the final three frames to post the come-from-behind victory in the Glens Fall Holiday Tournament.

 

Niskayuna 84  Mechanicville 41

Leading Scorers:  Nisky – Emma Souky 24      Olivia Olsen 23      Ivian Owens 10      Red Raiders – Charli Goverski 11        Lyndsey Robens 10

Niskayuna ran out to a 44-13 halftime lead and coasted to the victory over the Raiders.

 

Mekeel Christian 61  Hoosick Falls 32

Leading Scorers:  MC – M. Mitchell 22      Avery Mills 16       Panthers – Logan Thayne 19

With the game tied 15-15 after the first eight minutes, Mekeel held the Falls to single digits in each of the final three periods to post the convincing win over the Panthers.
