Wasaren Soccer; Raider Boys Move to 11-0

Mechanicville 8 Tamarac 0: The Raiders used a pair of four goal halves to cruise past the Bengals on Thursday night, under the lights in Mechanicville.

Andrew Krasweski led the assault for Mechanicville (11-0), connecting for a hat trick, while Raider teammates Nick Amedeo, Ryan Grimmick, TJ Bisaillon, Justin Mannion, and Jordan Nolin all added single tallies.

Glenn Prarie saved six shots and combined with Raider defenders Tom Hickey, Tyler Eiseman, Dakota Bowie, Fen Egan, Will Woods and Nick Amedeo for Mechanicville’s ninth shutout in eleven outings.

Girls

Waterford 5 Emma Willard 3: Addison Galuski rang the bell with three goals and Natalie Rich added a pair in the Fordians win over Emma Willard on Thursday.

Emma Reed with a hat trick paced the Emma Willard attack.

Greenwich 7 Spa Catholic 0: The Witches built a 6-0 first half advantage and coasted to the shutout “W” over Saratoga Catholic in Greenwich on Thursday.

Faith Ingber and Molly Brophy led the charge with two goals each, while Tess Merrill, Cate Abate and Liz Marci connected with single scoring strikes.

Greenwich keeper Faith Hewitt and the Witches defense combined for the clean sheet.

Tamarac 3 Mechanicville 1: Bre Eversten scored a goal in each half, to lead the Bengals past the Red Raiders at Clum’s Corners on Thursday.

Eversten and teammate Abby Buckley sandwiched first half tallies around a Raider score by Patty Snyder at the 16:00 mark of the first.

The Tamarac defense closed the door on Mechanicville after the break to earn the home “W”.

Between the posts Jenna Hunt saved 12 and Syrita Faraj one for Tamarac, while Mechanicville keeper Dani Rubino turned back 11 shots for the Raiders.
