Waterford 4 Cambridge 1: The Fordians used a pair of goals from Josh Catanzarita and single strikes from Benji Mills and Jarron Maquire to post the road victory over Cambridge on opening day in the Wasaren League.
Cambridge broke on top in the contest when Ethan Robertson found Ryan Stevens who split the posts for a 1-0 lead just five minutes in.
Waterford evened things in the tenth minute, when Maquire finished a give and go with Mills, and the Fordians took the lead five minutes later when Mills found the back of the net off a Maquire feed and the 2-1 advantage.
After the break Maquire set up Catanzarita for his first tally of the match, this coming in the 59th minute and Cantanzarita rounded out the scoring on the day, connecting on a penalty kick late in the half.
Cambridge keeper Justin Hamilton saved 14 shots in the match, while Fordians keeper Alex Roy turned back four shots in the win.
Hoosick Falls 2 Spa Catholic 0
The visitors from Hoosick Falls scored twice before the break and made those tallies stand in posting the shutout victory over the Saints at Gavin Park on Tuesday.
The Panthers Connor Jones put the Falls on the board, connecting at the 22:00 minute mark and ten minutes later teammate Ramsey Webber, off a Brendan Grenoble find, found the back of the net giving Hoosick Falls all the offense they would need.
Mechanicville 11 Stillwater 0: In the annual match between the neighboring rivals for ‘the Cup”, it was all Red Raiders who scored early and often on the turf in Mechanicville Tuesday night.
Andrew Kraszewski connected on four scoring strikes, with Wyqie Aguda adding a hat trick, Colin McNutt a pair of goals and Ryan Grimmick and Joey Devito with single tallies for Mechanicville.
Raider keeper Dylan Raucci combined with the Mechanicville “D” for the clean sheet.
In defeat Stillwater keeper Evan Coe saved 15 shots for the Warriors.

Spa Catholic 3 1/2 Mechanicville 1 1/2: In a match played at the Mechanicville golf course between two of the league’s top squads three matches in the first five flights finished all square, but Spa Catholic earned full points in flights three and five to claim the victory.
Mechanicville’s Joey Manzer and the Saints Charlie Greiner split the flight one point, the Raiders RJ Roberts and the Saints Robbie Bolen did the same in flight two as did Spa Catholic’s Tommy Greiner and Mechanicville’s Nate Salvadore in flight four.
The Saints Will Emery and Jacob Hajos won their individual matches in flights three and five respectively.
With the win Saratoga Catholic stays perfect on the season at 7-0, while Mechanicville suffers it’s first defeat of the year and moves to 5-1.
The Red Raiders RJ Roberts fired the low round of 44 in the match to claim medalist honors.
Hoosick Falls 5 Stillwater 0: The Panthers Miles Smith led all scorers with a round of 42, leading Hoosick Falls to the shutout victory over Stillwater in a match played at the Hoosick Falls Country Club on Tuesday.
Other scores for the Falls saw Aiden Fleming and Brady Hathaway card 45’s, Dylan Callahan 48, Ethan Yonconish 57 and Riley Hayes 59.
Carter Wicheins posted the low round for Stillwater, carding a 50 on the the par 34 venue.
