Greenwich 54 Cohoes 0: The Witches hung 28 points on the board in the first period and cruised from there to the season-opening win over the visitors from Cohoes.
Greenwich quarterback Jesse Kuzmich threw for 104 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with Tyler Day, Deontae Bennett and Aiden McPhail on scoring strikes.
Bennett added a 52-yard scoring run, one of five Witches who ran for touchdowns on the night. Matt Conlin, Jayden Hughes, Colin Hughes and Ryan Hughes all “ran for six” in the one-sided Witches victory.
Schuylerville 14 Hoosick Falls/Tamarac 0: With defense being the theme of the night in Tamarac, Schuylerville used short touchdown runs from Owen and Lukas Sherman to get past the HF/Tam Wildcats.
Owen Sherman scored on a 3-yard run in the second period and with the two point conversion Schuylerville led 8-0, and took that lead into the break.
In the third frame, Lukas Sherman added a two-yard TD run and those 14 points were more than enough for Schuylerville to secure the win in a game where both defensive units played well.
The Black Horses held HF/Tam to 152 total yards while, the Wildcats defense limited Schuylerville to 214 total yards.
Lukas Sherman finished with 66 rushing yards and Owen added 40 yards rushing and was 6 of 10 for 83 yards through the air.
Wildcats quarterback Jake Sparks was 6 of 14 for 52 yards, and also ran for 54 yards on 11 attempts to lead Hoosick Falls/Tamarac.

Cambridge 3 Hoosic Valley 1: James Toleman carded a three over par 38 to claim medalist honors and lead Cambridge to the win over the Valley at the Battenkill Country Club on Friday.
Mason MacDougall and Luke MacDougall picked up individual wins for Cambridge, while Hoosic Valley’s Chris Terry earned the point for the Indians.
Spa Catholic 5 Stillwater 0: In action at the Saratoga Lake Golf Club on Friday Charlie Greiner showed the way with the low round of 41, leading the Saints to the shutout win over Stillwater.
Robbie Bolen, Will Emery, Jacob Hajos and Tommy Greiner all picked up points with individual match wins for the 8-0 Spa Catholic squad.
Mechanicville 5 Waterford 0: The Red Raiders RJ Roberts fired a 46 to lead the field in Mechanicville’s shutout “W” over the Fordians at the Mechanicville Golf Course on Friday.
Joey Manzer, Connor Dion, Matthew Salvadore and Jack Salvadore joined Roberts in the scoring column for the Raiders who move to 5-0 on the year with the win.

Waterford 5 Galway 0: Waterford scored five times before the break and cruised form there to the shutout win over Galway.
The Fordians Addyson Galuski scored a hat trick in the match with Imani Bloomfield finding her on on two of her tallies. Also finding the back of the net for Waterford were Sophia Belonga and Natalie Rich, assisted by Izzy Vecchio and Belonga respectively.
Waterford keeper Maddy Atwood saved 10 shots and combined with the Fordian “D” to earn the shutout.
Galway keeper Hannah French turned back 18 shots in the loss.
