Girls Soccer; Stillwater Tops H. Valley

Stillwater 3 Hoosic Valley 0: Isabella Estill tallied twice and Elliot Patenaude added a single scoring strike to lead the Warriors to the home “W” over the Valley.

Patenaude opened the scoring with a finish at the 8:52 mark, and ten minutes later Estill found the range, giving Stillwater a 2-0 lead that they took into halftime.

Midway through the second half, Estill took a Brooke Henderson feed and found the back of the net to cap the scoring.

Warrior keeper Mia Corraro saved three, and combined with the Stillwater defense for the clean sheet.

Hoosic Valley keeper Riley Caiazza saved 10 shots in defeat.

Mechanicville 1 Schuylerville 1 OT: The two squads battled to a standoff in a non-league match on the turf in Schuylerville, Monday night.

After a scoreless first half the Red Raiders Nevaeh D’Aloia finished an Ava Charbonneau find, giving Mechanicville the 1-0 cushion, but later in the half Schuylerville’s Anika Buff tied things with an unassisted tally, and both defenses refused to break the rest of the way.

Mechanicville keeper Anna Izzo turned back seven shots in the match, while Schuylerville goal tender Claire Pellitier-Hoblock saved eight.
