Boys Soccer; Hoosic Valley, Cambridge Post Wins

Hoosic Valley 3 Greenwich 1: Greenwich held a 1-0 advantage at the half, but the Valley scored three times after the break to notch the home “W” on Tuesday.

A hustle play by Tyler Eddy evened things early in the second half, when a shot hit the crossbar and Eddy headed the rebound past the Greenwich keeper tying things at 1-1.

The Indians took the lead minutes later on a put back goal from Tom Rice off a missed PK.

The Valley capped the scoring late in the half when an Andrew Wood chipped pass over the defense found Logan Reilly for the finish and the 3-1 decision.

Cambridge 2 Spa Catholic 1: Spa Catholic held a 1-0 lead until the final 15 minutes of the match, when Cambridge rallied with a pair of scores to earn the come-from-behind road win at Gavin Park.

The Saints Aiden Law scored the opening goal in the 25th minute, and Spa Catholic held that cushion until Cambridge struck late.

Alex LaFountain and Garrett Hackman tallied within an eight minute span, with Hackman finding the range from 30-yards out for the game-winner.

Stillwater 4 Hoosick Falls 0: On a wet turf in Stillwater the Warriors used four, first half goals to get past the visitors from Hoosick Falls.

Landen Staie tallied twice for Stillwater, with Liam Brady and Harry Rubenstein adding single strikes to pace the Warriors attack.
