Mechanicville 9 Hoosick Falls 0: It was another match in Mechanicville where the Red Raiders scored in bunches, netting eight goals before the break, and by nights end their top gun Andrew Kraszewski owned school scoring marks.
Kraszewski connected with three scoring strikes, breaking his single season scoring record of 37, now 38, and the school career mark of 85, now 87.
Wyqie Aguda and Colin McNutt both tallied twice, while Joey Devito and Jacob Eiseman added goals as well for the Raiders.
Dylan Raucci saved three shots to earn the shutout for Mechanicville, who with the win, move to 11-0, 12-0 on the year.
Waterford 3 Hoosic Valley 2: In a back and forth affair in Schaghticoke Waterford’s Benji Mills connected for his third goal of the match with 1:00 remaining, lifting the Fordians past Hoosic Valley.
The Valley got on the board first when Logan Reilly chipped a ball over the head of the Fordian keeper, to take the 1-0 lead.
But Waterford gained the advantage before the break on a pair of goals by Mills with Josh Catanzarita setting up both scores.
In the 57th minute the Valley knotted things when Brayden Senecal finished a corner kick for the home squad and the 2-2 deadlock.
With just over a minute remaining a Mills header off a Catanzarita corner was the difference maker in this well played match between two, strong, Class C squads.
Greenwich 1 Spa Catholic 0 2OT: In the 97th minute the Witches Madigan Carner, took a feed from Declan Kelleher, and tucked the ball into the corner of the net for the game-winner.
Greenwich keeper Owen Keech saved one shot in recording the shutout, while Saints keeper Ryan Condry turned back 15 shots in the match.
