Mechanicville 6 Coxsackie-Athens 0: The Red Raiders held a 2-0 lead at the break, and put the game away with four second half goals, notching the Class B quarterfinal “W” on Saturday.
A pair of first half strikes by Andrew Kraszewski, the first off a Wyqie Aguda find, staked the Raiders to a 2-0 advantage heading to halftime.
Aguda connected for a pair of scores after intermission, with Ryan Grimmick and Gordon Jenney adding single tallies.
Raider keeper Dylan Raucci saved five shots in earning the shutout.
With the win Mechanicville advances to the B semi’s, and will face Broadalbin Perth on Wednesday night.
Waterford 1 Chatham 0: The Fordians used a first half goal, and an outstanding defensive effort to earn the Class C quarterfinal victory over Chatham, Saturday night.
The game-winner came with less than three minutes remaining in the first half. After a series of blocks in the box, and point blank saves by Chatham’s keeper John Wisseman, Josh Catanzarita cleaned up the chaos, firing a shot to the back of the net for the difference-maker.
Waterford keeper Alex Roy and the Fordian defense enjoyed an outstanding match in keeping Chatham off the board.
With the win Waterford moves on, and will face top-seeded Maple Hill on Wednesday at LaSalle in a Class C semifinal.
Maple Hill 4 Stillwater 0: Eli Charlebois scored a hat trick, and Kayden Morris added a PK score, fueling the Tigers win over Stillwater in a Class C quarterfinal match.

Mechanicville 1 Voorheesville 1 OT Mechanicville advances on PK’s: Nevaeh D’Aloia scored for Mechanicville and Emma Farrell tallied for Voorheesville in a Class B quarterfinal that was decided via penalty kicks.
Both keepers had big matches between the posts with Raider keeper Olivia Horan and her counterpart Isabella Thayer both denying 15 shots in the contest.
With the win Mechanicville advances to the semi’s with a Tuesday matchup with Broadalbin Perth in Stillwater.
