Leading Scorers:  Cambridge – Stasia Epler 29 (5 3’s)     Chelle Daniels 13      Mayfield – Chloey Dopp 18

Key Stat:  Cambridge built a 28-18 halftime lead.

Take Away: Cambridge uses a big first half and a dominant night from Epler in securing the opening round win in Class C.  Cambridge advances to the second round and will face #1 Duanesburg on Wednesday.

 

South Glens Falls 58   Emma Willard 51

Leading Scorers:  SGF – Sydney Hart 34 (7 3’s)    Kaitlin McDonough 15        Jesters – Emma Shields 22     Audrey Shields 19

Key Stat:  A 19-9 second period gave South High a 29-20 advantage at the break.

Take Away:  In a close game throughout Emma Willard trailed by 29-20 at the half and trimmed the deficit to five points at 41-36 heading into the final frame, before South High closed out the win in Class A action.

 

Maple Hill 54   Hoosick Falls 47

Leading Scorers:  Wildcats – Isabella Seeberger 12      Panthers – Olivia Estes 24     Amber MacNeil 13

Key Stat:  Maple Hill held a 9-3 advantage in made threes.

Take Away: The Wildcats led 29-19 at the break and rode that cushion to the first round “W” in Class C play.

 

Tamarac 61   Johnstown 50

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Myanna Faraj 23     Sidney Phillips 18      Sir Bills – Abby Crest 13

Key Stat:  The Bengals won each of the first three periods.

Take Away:  Tamarac leading 32-20 at the break put the game away with a 19-11 third period, and with the win will move on to play top seeded Schalmont on Wednesday in Class B second round action.
