Leading Scorers:  Panthers – Jake Sparks 21 (12 rebounds)     Aiden Fleming 13        Spartans – Trevon Bailey 15     Ryan Havern 13       Chase Baker 11

Key Stat:  Trailing 19-13 after the first, Hoosick Falls won each of the remaining periods.  

Take Away:  The Falls fell behind early but battled back to tie things heading into the final frame where the Panthers secured the non-league win.  Fleming poured in 11 of his 13 points in the first eight minutes keeping the Falls within striking distance, while Sparks dropped 15 of his game-high 21 points after the break to help close out the “W”.  

 

Girls

Cambridge 40   Cooperstown 33   Friday

Leading Scorers:  Cambridge – Schuylar Nolan 16     Samantha Crandall 13            Cooperstown – Dani Seamon 14

Key Stat:  Cambridge held an 8-0 advantage in made threes.

Take Away: Trailing 23-21 heading to the fourth Cambridge outscored Cooperstown 19-10 to post the win and even their mark at 1-1 on the year.

 

Greenwich 61   Delhi 20     Friday

Leading Scorers:  Witches – Norah Niesz 18     Brooke Kuzmich 16     Adrianna Rojas 10     

Key Stat:  Greenwich ran out to a 33-8 halftime lead.

Take Away:  The Witches put three players in doubles and cruised to the easy victory in the opening round of the Dick Alwine Tip-off Tournament on Friday.
