Thursday Night Results: Tamarac Wins on Two Floors

Tamarac 62   Stillwater 39

Leading Scorers:  Myanna Faraj 20 4 3’s       Kayla Beaudoin 14       Abbie Yetto 12         Warriors – Miranda Price 17 3 3’s

Key Stat:  The Bengals outscored Stillwater 37-15 over the middle two frames.

Take Away: Tied 10-10 after the first eight minutes Tamarac took control with a 23-9 second period, on their way to the road victory.  The Bengals bottomed nine triples and put three players in double in running their season mark to 8-0, 10-1.  Tamarac returns to action tonight when they’ll host the undefeated Witches of Greenwich.

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Joey Poulin 24 3 3’s       Mikey D’Agostino 16       James Blake II 14       Jack Casey          Warriuors – Lukas Lilac 31 6 3’s           Jaxon Mueller 13          Thomas McDonough 12

Key Stat:  Tamarac hung 53 points on the board over the middle two periods.

Take Away:  Trailing 20-9 after the first, Tamarac used a 23-0 second quarter to gain the lead and a third frame advantage of 30-18 to assume control in posting the comeback win in Stillwater.  Tamarac, in typical fashion, scored in the 80’s with four players reaching double figures.  The 9-0, 13-2 Bengals return to the floor on Saturday for a 7:15 run with Greenwich.

 

Greenwich 58   Schuylerville 51

Leading Scorers:  Witches – Jacob Ziehm 25 3 3’s        Joe Skiff 18                      Black Horses – Luke Sherman 24

Key Stat:  The Witches held Schuylerville to 16 first-half points.

Take Away:  Greenwich won each of the first three periods and held off a late, fourth quarter charge from the Black Horses to earn the non-league victory in Greenwich. 

 

Cambridge 62   Salem 34

Leading Scorers:  Cambridge – Isaac Toleman 16       Baxter Mattison 15        Isaac Wilkins 13        Mason MacDougal 11          Generals – Antwon Webster 14

Take Away:  Cambridge picks up the nonleague “W” at home, for their first win of the season. 

 

Bishop Gibbons 58   Saratoga Catholic 19

Leading Scorers:  Gibbons – K. Aleron 20            M. Wylie 18        Saints – Danielle Villaro 8  

Key Stat:  Bishop Gibbons held the Saints to single numbers in every quarter.

Take Away:  Gibbons won every period in notching the one-sided decision in Saratoga.
