Take Away:  A dominate performance from Mullen combined with seven innings of error-free defense by the Witches paved the way to the Greenwich “W”.

 

Spa Catholic 8   Cambridge 2

WP:  Hailey Ogniewski 7 IP 2 Runs 8 Hits 9 K’s                                         LP:  Lauren Archambeault 7IP 8 Runs 7 Hits 13 K’s

Hitting Stars:  Saints – Allison Fuller 2 Hits              Cambridge – Isabella Darfler 3 1B’s

Take Away:  Ogniewski throw’s a strong game from the circle and six different Saints had hits in the road victory.   

 

Mechanicville 2   Hoosick Falls 0

WP:  Paige Rogers 7 IP 0 Runs 1 Hit 1 BB 11 K’s                     LP:  Boisvert 6 IP 2 Runs 2 Hits 3 BB’s 14 K’s

Hitting Stars:  Red Raiders – Allie Kenyon 1 hit                 Kadynce Boudreau 1 hit                     Panthers – Teagan Hart 1 hit

Take Away: In a pitcher’s duel between Rogers and Boisvert the Raiders did just enough offensively to earn the win in Mechanicville. With the victory the Raiders move to 5-0 in league play.  

 

Greenwich 14   Berlin/New Lebanon 0

WP:  Ryan Ingber 5 IP 0 Runs 4 Hits 10 K’s                                           LP:  Dylan Saviano 4.2 IP 7 Runs 5 ER 3 Hits 4 K’s  

Hitting Stars:  Witches – Robert Barnes 2 1B’s                      Mountaineers – Tyler Shuhart 2 1B’s              Aiden VanDyke 2 1B’s

Take Away:  Leading 5-0 entering the bottom half of the fifth, the Witches hung a nine-spot to seal the victory over Berlin/New Lebanon.  With the win Greenwich improves to 4-5, 4-3 on the year.

 

Hoosick Falls 29   Hoosic Valley 1

WP:  Ben Smith                           LP:  Jimmy Johnson

Hitting Stars:  Panthers – Carson Glover 3 1B’s, 2 2B’s                  Eli King 2 1B’s, HR, 3 RBI’s                           Andrew Sparks 2 1B’s, 2 2B’s, 4 RBI’s                                       Valley – Landon Reilly 2B

Take Away:  The Panther bats produced 24 hits in the one-sided decision in Schaghticoke. The Falls moves to 5-6, 4-6 on the season with the win.

 

Mechanicville 9   Waterford 1

WP:  Will Coreno 5 IP 1 Run 3 Hits 1 BB 6 K’s                                    LP:  Werkie Hayes 5.2 IP 8 Hits 9 Runs 7 ER 4 BB’s 2 K’s

Hitting Stars:  Red Raiders – Will Coreno 2-3, 2 2B’s, RBI              Joey Devito 2-3, 2B, 2 RBI’s            Mark Pingelski 2-3, 3B, 2 RBI’s           Fordians – L. Kelly 1-3, RBI

Take Away:  The Raiders opened with four runs in the first and plated five in the fourth frame to put this one in the win column behind strong work from the bump by Coreno and Couser.

Hitting Stars:  Saints – Kihl Kelly 3-4, 2B, 3 RBI’s         Hunter Fales 2-2, 3 RBI’s         Ryan Gillis 2-2, 2B, 2 RBI’s         Carson Mosher 2-5, 3 RBI’s                               Bengals – Nevin Wilkie 3B      

Take Away:  The Saints ran out to a 12-1 lead after two frames and cruised to the home “W” over Tamarac in a game played at Veterans Memorial Park.  Spa Catholic goes to 7-1, 7-1 on the season while Tamarac moves to 6-3, 5-2.
