Greenwich 6.5 Hoosic Valley 2.5

In golf action at The Battenkill Country Club on Tuesday, Greenwich slipped past Hoosic Valley earning a razor-thin decision over the Hawks.

The Valley’s Keegan Antolick and the Witches Sam Ziehm shared medalist honors carding rounds of 38 in the match. Antolick and Ziehm split the point in flight one as did Hoosic Valley’s Jackson Schram and Greenwich’s Peter Wade in flight two.

Posting match wins for Greenwich were Brayden Stutzman and Reid Ricciardone while Owen Harder and Ryan Morrissey posted wins for the Valley.

The top three team scores combined was deadlocked at 117 strokes with the tiebreaker being the fourth best individual score for each squad with Greenwich prevailing 41-42 to bank the three team points and the match “W”.

With the win Greenwich moves to 3-0 on the year while Hoosic Valley slips to 0-3.
