Wednesday Roundup: Falls, Valley, Fordians Notch Wins

Hoosick Falls 3 Greenwich 0

Hoosick Falls edged out toa 2-0 advantage by the break and added an insurance goal in the second half to post the victory over Greenwich on Wednesday.

Lily Zwinge scored in each half and Laney Kasulinous added a single tally to lead the Panthers attack.

Hoosick Falls keeper Avery McMahon saved five shots and combined with the Panther defense for the shutout.

Greenwich keeper Molly Andrew stopped seven shots in the loss.

Hoosic Valley 4 Whitehall 0

Holding a 1-0 lead at halftime, Hoosic Valley took control with three second half goals and notched the road “W” over Whitehall.

Samantha Gratton, Payton Gela, Mia MacMillen and Haylet Valcik all connected on scoring strikes for the Valley with Gela assisting twice and MacMillen once to pace the visitor’s attack.

Waterford 8 Berlin/New Lebanon 0

The Fordians ran out to a 6-0 lead by the break and never looked back in posting the one-sided decision over B/NL on Wednesday.

Connor Belonga rang the bell six times to lead Waterford, with K. Sheehan connecting twice and Bristol once for the Foridians.

Bristol added a pair of assists as did Delgaudio in the match.

Chapin and Atwood combined for two saves and the shutout for Waterford while B/NL keeper Henley saved 18 shots in the loss.

Hoosic Valley 6 Hoosick Falls 3

Hoosic Valley’s Ryan Morrissey fired a round of 38 to claim medalist honors, leading the Valley past the Falls in a steady rain at the Battenkill Country Club on Wednesday.

Other top scores for Hoosic Valley included Keegan Antolick 41, Jackson Schram 42, Owen Harder 47 and Owen Williams and Craig D’Avella with rounds of 48.

Hoosick Falls scores included Spencer Tate 39, Aidyn DeGraaf 43, Zach Houghton 47, Jack Shea 49, Quinn Haynes 54 and Memphis Hathaway with a round of 55.
