In a tight match throughout that saw Stillwater take a 2-1 lead into halftime, the home squad held on to notch the narrow “W” in the rain at Stillwater on Wednesday.

Kaylee Ermalowicz, Brooke Hodgson and Kamryn VanPelt all found the back of the net for Stillwater with Hodgson and VanPelt adding assists pacing the Stillwater attack.

Amalia Fitch and Rylan Charbonneau connected on scoring strikes for Waterford.

Stillwater keeper Addison Thorton saved eight shots in the match while Fordian keeper Ella Stoliker turned away seven shots in defeat.
