Conner Belonga and Landon Pitcher connected for scores and the Fordian defense did the rest in Waterford’s road win on Tuesday night.

Belonga put Waterford on the board just eight minutes in netting a rocket from just outside the 18 for the 1-0 lead that took the two squads into the break.

Waterford nursed the narrow cushion until Pitcher, off a Belonga find, split the posts for the insurance goal with 12:00 remaining.

Fordian keepers Henry Chapin and Jonny Atwood combined for four saves in the shutout, while Hoosick Falls keeper Richie Bartholomew turned back 15 shots in the match.

Cambridge/Salem 3 Tamarac 0

Rowan Ossont with a pair of goals and Alex Olsen with a single strike led C/S past Tamarac at Clum’s Corners on Tuesday night.

C/S keeper Tyler Beadling with five saves combined with the C/S defense for the shutout.

Tamarac goaltender Sebastian VanSluyters saved 13 shots in defeat.

Hoosic Valley 2 Mechanicville 0

Hoosic Valley used a pair of first half tallies and lockdown defense to capture the win in Schaghticoke on Tuesday afternoon.

Midway through the first half Colton Schram went lower left on a penalty kick to give the Valley the 1-0 advantage.

Later in the half a Connor Seymour corner found William Cottrell who found the back of the net for the 2-0 lead and the Valley defense made it stand keeping the potent Mechanicville attack in check throughout the match.

Stillwater 7 Spa Catholic 2

Trailing 2-1 at the break Stillwater scored six unanswered goals after intermission to earn the road win at Gavin Park in Saratoga on Tuesday.

Hoosic Valley 5 Granville 3

In a game tied 2-2 at the half, the Valley used three second-half strikes to pull away for the non-league “W” over Granville on Monday.

Colton Schram and Keegan Tompkins both tallied twice for the visitors and Parker Gela added a single scoring strike in the win.

Alex Rowell with two goals and Carter Lehoisky with a single strike led the Granville attack.

Mechanicville 8.5 Spa Catholic .5

Mechanicville’s Matthew Salvadore carded the low round of 34 leading the Raiders past the Saints in action at the Mechanicville Golf Club on Tuesday.

Joining Salvadore with match wins were teammates Joh Cady, Dylan Salvadore, AJ Messercola and Brody Landy.

Mechanicville’s Vinny Taylor and Spa Catholic’s Cole Cefalu finished all square in flight two, splitting the point.

The Raiders won in stroke play 120-135 earning the three points.

Mechanicville moves to 12-2 on the year with the win, while Spa Catholic goes to 6-6-1.

Hoosick Falls 7 Hoosic Valley 2

The Falls Aidyn DeGraaf fired the low round of 39 in the Panthers win over the Valley on Tuesday at the Hoosick Falls Country Club.

Other low scores for the Falls included Quinn Haynes 40, Spencer Tate 42, Cole DeLuca 44, Zach Houghton 45, Colton Brust 47, Jack Shea 49, and Memphis Hathaway with a round of 51.

Hoosic Valley scores included Keegan Antolick 40, Ryan Morrissey 44, Ryan Seymour and Owen Willaims with rounds of 51, Tyler Bosson 52, and Carson Rassmussen with a round of 59.

The Falls improves to 8-6 on the year with the victory.
