Hoosick Falls held a slim 20-16 advantage heading into halftime Saturday afternoon in Granville but after the break the visitors took control scoring 27 unanswered and posted the 47-16 victory over the Golden Horde.
Panther running back Jeffrey Vincent rushed for 196 yards and a pair of third quarter scores, and Falls quarterback Sam Richard passed for 173 yards with three touchdowns, two going to Isaac Friel on scoring strikes of 9 and 23 yards.
A TJ Wilson one-yard touchdown run late in the second period for Granville made it a one score game, but the visitors scored four touchdowns over the final two periods, including a 55 yard fumble return by Richard, to put this one in the win column.
With the win Hoosick Falls improves to 3-1, 5-1 on the year while Granville goes to 2-2, 3-3 with the loss. Continue reading
