Not much action in the league on Saturday as six of the seven football schools played on Friday night. Just Cambridge took the field Saturday and as they seemingly always do, handled their business. Congratulations to this week’s Wasaren Sportsnet Player of the Week, Cambridge place kicker Helen Mooney.
In the Indians 63-6 victory over Warrensburg on Saturday Mooney calmly converted on 9 of 9 point after attempts. Eight no doubters, and just one that was close, but good, clearing the crossbar with room to spare. Automatic on Saturday was Mooney, a nice weapon for any team to have.
