
On Tuesday we turned the calendar and the new month of May came in with warm temperatures and sunny skies. While all teams enjoyed yesterday’s beautiful weather, the lineups of Hoosic Valley and Saratoga Catholic baseball teams reveled in it staging an offensive back and forth that saw 36 hits and 31 runs combined before the Valley prevailed with the 17-14 “W”.

Gillespie explodes for three home runs and a double, driving in 10 and the Indians needed all of that and more to hand the Saints, 8-1, 10-1, their first loss of the year. The Valley put seven runs on the board in the top of the first, but an eight spot in the bottom of the fourth gave Spa a 10-9 lead.
