Wasaren Bowling; Raiders Top Warriors and Horde
In a three team match at Hometown Lanes Mechanicville defeated Stillwater and the Golden Horde of Granville running their record to 12-0 on the young season.
Stillwater topped Granville improving their season mark to 8-4.

Basketball Season Draws Near
Thinking back to my time as a player and coach, it always seemed to me that basketball season ramped up once we had snow in the air. I know, it makes little sense but in my mind that first snowfall meant the season that I so enjoyed was on. With the white stuff blanketing our area overnight it means it’s on indeed.
High school teams move into the second phase of their basketball year over the next few days when they take the floor for scrimmages.
As player I used to love scrimmages as they gave you opportunity to go against teams and players from others leagues. At the Valley back in the day we’d travel to Hudson Falls, Glens Falls, Lansingburgh and always cross the river for a run with the Red Raiders of Mechanicville in their old gym which was a great venue. Cambridge-Salem Wears the Class C Crown
On a rainy night in Lansingburgh the Indians of Cambridge-Salem took control early then weathered a Chatham comeback before closing things out, clinching the Section II Class C championship with a 41-27 decision over the Panthers.
The combination of a talented offensive line and a pair of explosive, senior running backs in Tyler Linendoll and Tommy English have paid dividends all season and on this Friday night things were no different. The O-line opened gaping holes and the senior tandem took advantage with Linendoll running for 242 yards with three touchdowns and English adding 153 yards with two scores. Continue reading

Mechanicville 6 Stillwater 2: The Red Raiders improve to 11-0 in league play with the victory over Stillwater in the 8th annual Indian Cup match.
Jeff Luce and Chris Ciccarelli with two goals each, and Zach Rapaccioulo and Brandt St.Gelais with single strikes led the Mechanicville attack.
