An interesting Wednesday on the Wasaren schedule highlighted by the Valley girls winning a double dip over Stillwater, and Greenwich posting softball and baseball wins to stay perfect in both sports.

Baseball

Greenwich 7  Tamarac 0

Winning Pitcher: Lukas Whitehouse  10 K’s  6-hitter

Leading Hitters: Witches – George Ostrowski 4-4, 2b, 3 Rbi’s   Cole Burgess 2-3           Bengals – Dylan Maxon 2-4

Key Stat: Whitehouse was dominant from the hill, and a four run seventh opened up what was a close ballgame.

 

Hoosick Falls 10  Mechanicville 5

Winning Pitcher: Andrew Stevens  9 K’s, first varsity win

Leading Hitters: Falls – Noah Conety 1b, 2b, 2 RBI’s     Raiders – Tim Coleman 1b, 2b

Key Stat: Mechanicville committed six errors on the day, in a game that the Falls led 7-5 going to the final frame.

 

Softball

Greenwich 6  Tamarac 2

Winning Pitcher: Rachel Hall

Leading Hitter: Witches- Gabbie VanDeWater 1b, 2b, RBI,  Rachell Hall 2 1b’s,   Sabrina Whitehouse HR      Bengals – Marissa Keeler 2 1b’s, 2b, 2 RBI’s

Key Stat: A five-run sixth gave the Witches the come from behind “W”, staying perfect on the season at 6-0.

 

Cambridge 13  Granville 0

Winning Pitcher: Miranda Seacord

Leading Hitters: Indians – Kayla Giglio 2 1b’s, 2b, 4 RBI’s,  Victoria Dupuis 2 1b’s, 2b, 2 RBI’s,  Olivia Brownell 3b

Key Stat: Seacord shuts down the Horde attack, and the Indians offense scored seven times over the first three innings in posting the easy win.

 

Hoosic Valley 18  Stillwater 0

Winning Pitcher Camille Coyne

Leading Hitters: Valley – Kate Kennelly 3 singles, 6 RBI’s,  Ahley Madigan 2 1b’s, 2b, 3 RBI’s

Key Stat: The Valley led 11-0 after two innings, setting the tone for this one.

 

Hooisc Valley 26  Stillwater 3

Winning Pitcher: Camille Coyne

Leading Hitters: Valley – Colleen Bemish 4-4, 4 RBI’s, Bridget Ryan 4-5 2b, 5 runs, Cierra Casale 6-6, 4 RBI’s   Warriors – Danika Svendsen 1b, 3 RBI’s,   Tayler Lescault 2 1b’s

Key Stat: A nine spot in the Valley first was just the beginning of a 30 hit afternoon for the Indians who improve to 6-1 in league play.
