Greenwich 48  Hoosick Falls 13:  Greenwich built a 20-7 led by halftime and pulled away in the second half for the comfortable win over Hoosick Falls.

Greenwich held outgained the Falls 420 -200 in total yards on the night, in winning for the second time in three outings.

Chris Albrecht rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown, Jesse Kuzmich ran for two scores and threw for another and Luke Pemrick added a pair of rushing score to led the Witches.

Max Kipp led the Falls attack, running for 109 yards and a touchdown as the Panthers with the loss slip to 1-2 on the season.

 

Stillwater 48  Canajoharie/Ft. Plain 14:  The Warriors bolted to a 21-0 advantage after the first period and cruised to their third victory of the year in Stillwater Friday night.

Warrior running back Mason Seymour ran for 160 yards and four touchdowns, and quarterback James Galarneau rushed for 134 yards with two TD’s and threw for 80 yards and a score to lead the lethal Stillwater attack.

 

Fonda 18  Mechanicville 7:  Fonda used a pair of big plays in the third period to post the come-from-behind victory over the visiting Red Raiders.

Mechanicville jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first on a Luke Shirmacker 12-yard touchdown run.

In the second, Braves quarterback John Mancini  found Garrett Neff with an 18-yard scoring strike, and with a failed point after, the Raiders held the 7-6 advantage heading into halftime.

On the first play of the third quarter the Brave’s Jackson Atty returned the kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown and a 13-7 Fonda lead.

Later in the period, with Mechanicville driving, Mancini scooped up a Red Raider fumble and ran it back 85 yards for a score and an 18-7 cushion for Fonda on what would be the last points in the contest.

With the win Fonda improves to 3-0 on the season, while Mechanicville slips to 1-2 with the loss.
