Key Stat:  More than half of Greenwich points came from the lines, highlighted by nine made threes.

Take Away:  Greenwich used a 28-10 second period to establish control, on their way to the home victory.

 

Saratoga Catholic 52  Waterford 43

Leading Scorers:  Saints – Allison Motler 17   Katie Cronin 14   Ashley Upton 14    Fordians – Sophia Belonga 13   Maddy Atwood 10

Key Stat:  The Saints put three players in double figures, with Motler and Danielle Gill controlling the backboards with eight rebounds each.

Take Away:  Leading 23-23 at the break, Spa Catholic gained some breathing room with a 20-8 third frame.  

 

Hoosic Valley 49  Berlin-New Lebanon 14

Leading Scorers:  Valley – Sophia Squires 16      Mountaineers – Nora Colin 4

Key Stat:  The Valley held B/NL to single digits in every period.

Take Away:  The Indians steadily pulled away, leading 12-4 after one, and 25-8 at the half, led by Squires and Amanda Salisbury who scored eight points and pulled down eight boards.

 

Tamarac 76  Stillwater 23

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – S. Phillips 29   M. Faraj 16      Warriors – Charisma Salecker 11

Key Stat:  Tamarac shut down the Warriors attack, limiting Stillwater to single numbers in each quarter.

Take Away:  The visitors from Tamarac hung 27 points on the board in the first eight minutes and coasted to the road “W”.

 

Boys

Hoosick Falls 71  St. Lawrence 40

Leading Scorers :  Falls – Jake Sparks 26   Miles Smith 10

Key Stat:  Hoosick Falls won every quarter, gradually taking control and pulling away in the Lake George Tip-Off Tournament.

Take Away:  Nine players scored for the Falls led by Sparks and Smith in doubles, and Tucker Thayne who scored eight points to go with nine rebounds. 

 

Waterford 46  Spa Catholic 42

Leading Scorers:  Fordians – Gavin Budah 21      Saints – Robby Bolen 15

Key Stat:  The Saints failed to connect on any free throws in the game with Waterford holding a 9-0 advantage from the stripe.

Take Away:  In a close run throughout, Howard Phelan drilled a three-pointer with :14 remaining, giving the Fordians a three point edge at 45-42.

 

Hoosic Valley 80  Berlin-New Lebanon 14

Leading Scorers:  Valley – Isaiah Eckler 16   Logan Reilly 16   Chris Jones 12   Tyler Eddy 10    Mountaineers – Mason Stelker 6

Key Stat:  The Valley bottomed nine triples, and put four players in doubles with every Valley player scoring points.

Take Away:  Hoosic Valley opened with a 30 point first period and never looked back in posting the road “W”.  

 

Argyle 50  Cambridge 24

Leading Scorers:  Scots – Derek Liddle 16   Justin McWhorter 12   Brandon Saunders 10     Cambridge – Andrew Clark 9

Key Stat:  Argyle held their hosts to single numbers in every period.

Take Away:  Argyle won every quarter, built a 28-10 led by halftime, and cruised to the non-league victory in Cambridge.
