Stillwater/Spa Catholic 43 Rensselaer 8

Stillwater/Spa Catholic built a 35-o lead by halftime and cruised from there to the road win over Rensselaer on Friday night.

Luke Dejnozka led a potent ground attack for St/Spa with 132 yards on eight carries and two touchdowns.

Dave Kramek added 41 yards and a touchdown, Reid Knussman 55 yards and a score, Mason Straight 42 yards and a TD, and Kingston David Jr. added a touchdown tote for St/Spa. It was the first career varsity touchdowns for Knussman, Staright and David.

Next up for Stillwater/Spa Catholic is a home get-together next Friday at 7 p.m. with Broadalbin-Perth.

Mechanicville 8 Spa Catholic 1

Matt Salvadore led all golfers with a round of 35 to lead Mechanicville past the Saints of Spa Catholic in action at the Saratoga Spa Golf Course on Friday.

Cole Sefalu posted the low round of 38 for the Saints.
