Cambridge Notches Win Over Patriots

Leading Scorers:  Indians – Sophie Phillips 18       Lily Phillips 17            Patriots – Cat Worthington 10

Key Stats:  Cambridge jumped out to a 16-7 lead after one, converted on 10 of 14 from the stripe and closed things out with a 12-7 final frame to earn the victory over Mt. Anthony from Bennington.  The Patriots connected on eight triples in the game but only reached double digits in one period as the Indians defense continue to keep opponents off the scoreboard, allowing just 40 points per, over their last five outings.

Leading Scorers:  Bengals – Emily Erickson 25            Warriors – Marley Mueller 15        Molly Sheehan 10

Key Stats:  The Warriors outscored Tamarac 26-18 over the middle two periods and took a 32-30 lead into the final eight minutes. But the Bengals used a 15-6 fourth quarter advantage to post the come-from-behind “W” and turn back Stillwater’s upset bid.

Key Stat:  Cambridge took control early running out to a 21-9 lead at the quarter, and extended their advantage to 40-16 at the break.  The Cambridge defense turned Hoosic Valley over time and again, which resulted in numerous transition buckets for the Indians. Continue reading
