The remaining two Wasaren softball squads took the field on Tuesday in Section II semifinals contests and the league teams came away with a split. In Class C Greenwich’s season ended in a 7-2 loss to Maple Hill, while in the B’s Hoosic Valley bested top seeded Cohoes 4-2 advancing to the championship game on Friday. Continue reading

When we previewed the Section II tournament a week ago I thought both Greenwich and Hoosic Valley baseball teams would be in the finals in their respective classes. Certainly not a long shot prediction as the Valley is the #1 seed in Class B, while Greenwich holds the same spot in Class C. Continue reading
