The Greenwich girls cross country team, perennially a dominant force breezed to the team title in the Wasaren cross country championships on Tuesday at Saratoga Spa State Park. Five of the first six girls to cross the finish line were Witches as Greenwich ran away from the field. Continue reading

Soccer and volleyball both played out on Monday in the Wasaren with Cambridge posting wins in both girls and boys soccer, while Hoosic Valley remained unbeaten in league play on the volleyball court. Continue reading

In the final weekend of the high school football regular season five of the seven Wasaren football teams were in action Friday night. Mechanicville, Stillwater and Hoosick Falls all posted “W’s”, while Greenwich and Tamarac suffered defeats. Continue reading

Mechanicville 1 Hoosick Falls 1 OT: First half goals from the Panthers Darian Morgan and the Red Raiders Madison Harrington sent the teams to the break deadlocked. Over the second half and two overtime periods neither squad was able to finish a scoring run, and the resulting tie left the door open for Stillwater to share the Wasaren title with Mechanicville (11-1-2).
