With the regular season in high school golf nearing it’s midpoint, three teams at or near the top of the Wasaren standings posted wins on Wednesday, with two coming in convincing fashion.

Greenwich 5  Cambridge 0:  Reed Boduch fired a one under 34, taking medalist honors and leading Greenwich to the shutout victory over the Indians in a match played at the Battenkill Country Club on Wednesday. Continue reading

Hoosick Falls Tops Greenwich

Hoosick Falls 4  Greenwich 1:  The Panthers Ryan Bloomer fired a 35 to claim medalist honors and lead the Falls to the “W” over the Witches in a match played at the Hoosick Falls Country Club on Monday.

Joining Bloomer in the win column were teammates Matthew Smith, Connor Smith and Stephanie Merwin, as Hoosick Falls with the win improves to 4-1 on the year.

Dawson Polley notched the lone point on the day for Greenwich with a victory in the fourth flight for the Witches who absorb their first defeat of the season, slipping to 4-1 with the loss.

Hoosic Valley 4  Cambridge 1:  Brett Norman fired a 41 to claim medalist honors and lead the Valley to the win over Cambridge in a match played at the Battenkill Country Club on Friday,

Hoosick Falls Tops Mechanicville

Hoosick Falls 5  Mechanicville 0:  In a match played at the Hoosick Falls Country Club on Tuesday the host Panthers threw a shutout victory over the Red Raiders of Mechanicville.

The Falls Ryan Bloomer carded the low round of 34, and was joined in the winner’s circle by teammates Matthew Smith, Connor Smith, Miles Smith, and Allison Hathaway as the Panthers posted the convincing early season “W”.
