The packed house at Mechanicville Friday night saw and heard a little of everything in the contest between the Red Raiders and the visiting Warriors from Stillwater. Sustained effort, high emotions, vocal fans, as well as specialty defenses, and at the end of the night the Warriors went home with a 63-54 victory and sole possession of first place in the Wasaren. After the all state football teams were announced yesterday I looked for and found the 2015 all state girls soccer teams and three players from the Wasaren earned recognition at the state’s highest level.

The Panthers of Hoosick Falls entered Tuesday night’s game with Greenwich on a two game losing skid, Connor McCart and Alex Mendez made sure it didn’t stretch to three. The Falls Mr. Inside and Outside combined for 49 points in the Panthers 63-35 victory over the Witches. Continue reading
