Last night it was a coin flip as to which game I’d go to see, Stillwater/Hoosick Falls boys, or Tamarac/Hoosic Valley girls. It turns out either would have been the right call. Both games had big implications in the league title chase, and both contests were overtime decisions, with the Valley putting away the Bengals 55-46 in OT to stay just one game behind front running Hoosick Falls in the race for the Wasaren crown. Fittingly Friday night’s game between the visiting Panthers of Hoosick Falls, and their hosts, the Warriors of Stillwater, needed an extra session to determine it’s outcome. The two squads needed every second of regulation and a four minute overtime, and when the final horn sounded Hoosick Falls came away with the well-earned 59-57 victory, handing the Warriors their first league loss of the season.
